Newton Abbot is a market town and civil parish in the Teignbridge District of Devon on the River Teign, with a population of around 23,600. Newton Abbot railway station is situated at the east end of Queen Street. It is served by both local and long distance services. The centre of the town features the ancient tower of St Leonard.
